Sarah Patient Nicastro is an editor with a strong foundation in both editing and sound. Trained at Kalix Folk High School and Dramatiska Institutet, she developed a unique ear for sound and music, allowing her to cut to the beat naturally and use her audio skills effectively in her work. She sees editing as a dramaturgical craft, where every decision is made to strengthen the story and its characters, adapting the edit entirely to the narrative.
Colleagues describe Sarah as loyal and wholly committed, with a rare talent for seeing multiple paths within a story. She is highly skilled at restructuring and rethinking, always refining the project until it feels exactly right. Calm under pressure and highly communicative, she navigates productions with clarity and focus, helping directors and producers stay on track while never losing sight of the story.
Sarah loves being part of the creative process from the script stage onward, shaping narratives and editing in parallel with production. She receives feedback with grace, asks questions when needed and brings her full self to every project. For her, each film is a personal challenge—an opportunity to achieve what seems impossible, and she never gives up before reaching the goal.
Sarah’s work includes ’Let Go’, ’Orca’ and ’A Part of You.’ In the past few years she has also collaborated closely with Josephine Bornebusch on the majority of her projects.
